Julep Kate Swatch

I received Kate in the July Maven Box from Julep. It's a pearlescent white. It's quite pretty but I probably wouldn't wear it alone.

Julep Maven Classic With a Twist July 2012

Just got my second box in the mail. It's usually American Beauty but this month I switched to Classic With a Twist because I liked the colors better. If you are interested in joining Julep, here is my referral link:

Julep Morgan Swatch

Julep Morgan was in the June 2012 Maven box. This is one of the most beautiful purples I've ever put on my fingers. It's fun and vibrant and catches my eye all day long!

Julep Lilly Swatch

Julep Lilly is a gorgeous pink. I think that if I hadn't put a top coat on, it almost would have dried matte. I'll have to try that in the near future.
I just can't get over how rich and delicious all the Julep colors are!

Enjoy...

Birchbox June 2012

This month's Birchbox is WAY better than last month's! Phew! I'm very happy with everything received this month so it was $10 well spent! If you're interested in joining BB, here is my referral link: https://www.birchbox.com?raf=khdnu

Here is what we received this month. The theme was "jet set".

Lumiere d'hiver hair detangler/leave-in conditioner. This is a nice size and I'll get many uses out of it.

Fragrance for men. I like that they're doing this as the "extra" items to help cross-sell their BB for Men.

We got two of these little pouches. I live in Washington state, so I never get out in the sun! These will come in handy so I don't look so pasty white this summer!

Beauty Cleanser trial size. I actually use (and love) the Beauty Blender, so I already use this product...but it doesn't hurt to have more!

I've been wanting to buy this product for a long time so I'm very happy I get to try it out! I love lip stains...as long as they're not drying, of course!

Julep June 2012 Mystery Box

This month's mystery box wasn't as great as some of the others I have received. I got three polishes, a nail therapy, and a nail file. One of the polishes is a dupe from a past maven box. Not that exciting. :( I will admit it's still a higher retail value than what I paid, but I am very underwhelmed this time. I guess that's the fun of the mystery box, though! It's a gamble!

Here's Jodie and Pippa. Jodie is the dupe that I already have. Pippa is a light khaki creamy color.

Juliette is a creamy white.

See? Not really that exciting. Oh well!

Little Black Bag June 2012

My June 2012 Little Black Bag arrived today! I couldn't be happier!!! If you're interested, visit http://lbb.ag/1bXG to sign up.

Here's the awesomeness that I got.

I got this purse as my original item and then traded it in a four-for-one swap. I immediately regretted it and spent the rest of the week trying to get it back! I succeeded!

These Betsey Johnson earrings are a lot bigger than I thought they would be, but they are freaking adorable. I hope you like Betsey Johnson, because that's what the rest of the stuff is, too! :)

Here are some more pics of the purse. This is the back, which LBB actually didn't show online. I love it!

For perspective, here are some of the MyGlam bags thrown into the purse. This baby is huge and it's awesome!

Here's a shot of all the earrings next to each for some perspective on size.

If you're on the fence about joining LBB, I can tell you that I love it! But it is addicting and takes a lot of time to get a really great bag put together. But it's totally worth it! I think this bag was worth retail of around $180 and I only paid $50! What a steal!

MyGlam Bag June 2012

For the second month in a row, MyGlam has knocked it out of the park! This month's bag is another super awesome one. I like how even they give fewer products than other companies, the products are all really nice sizes (if not full size) and it's stuff I'm going to use regularly.

This one seriously rocks!

Here we go...

The bag is a gold glitter. Watch out! Some of it gets on your hands. :)

Philosophy gel cream moisturizer. This is a fantastic brand and I've never tried this specific product so I am very excited!

Mirabella semi-permanent eyeliner pen. I'm not sure how "semi-permanent" this is. The line I drew on my hand was gone with very little rubbing. I'm excited to try out the application, though. I've never used an eyeliner pen like this. I usually use a gel pot eyeliner. This will be something fun and new to try!

NYX lipstick. Woohoo! I'm a total lipstick fanatic. This one is Chloe and it sure is a HOT, bright pink. I'll wear it on the days when I'm feeling more brave. :) I usually wear pink or red lipstick, but for some reason, this one seems super loud! I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of it though! With brave lipstick, a little confidence goes a long way. :)

And finally, Living Proof no frizz styling cream. This is a top-notch brand and the sample size is huge! I'll be able to use this for months and months! Every product from Living Proof that I've ever tried, I've loved, so this is going to be great!
There were a few coupons from Living Proof and Philosophy as well.

This was a great bag and if MyGlam keeps up this momentum, they will become the leaders in makeup subscriptions!

Go My Glam!

Julep Claire Swatch

This beauty came in the June 2012 maven box. It's a gorgeous creamy robin's egg blue! Perfect for summer and spring!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips Review

I received these strips in the Spring 2012 Influenster Vox Box free of charge for testing and reviewing purposes. More information at Influenster.com

These are, by far, the best nail polish strips I have ever used. They were the most pliable which made it so it was easier to get the entire strip flat on my nail. I have ridges so this has always been a problem for me. However, the Sally Hansen ones follow the natural shape of your nail. I also like that I can remove these with nail polish. One problem I have with other brands is that you have to peel them off to remove them. My nails are already weak and peeling so removing strips that way actually take a layer of my nail with it! That's why I'm so excited to be able to use nail polish for removal!!!

Here is how you would apply them:

1.) After selecting the correct size, peel off the protective layer from the strip.

2.) Break off the tab and peel the polish strip off the backing.

3.) Carefully apply the strip to the nail, pressing down from the center out to prevent any air bubbles or ridges.

4.) This isn't in the official directions with the products, but I've found the easiest way to remove the excess strip is with a nail clipper. I simply clip it down so it's flush with my nail.

4.) Since the clippers can't get it super straight, use the nail file that Sally Hansen include to file the strip down so it's even with your nail.

5.) Repeat nine more times!

There is NO drying time so you're ready to go right away! Sally Hansen has over 40 different colors/patterns to choose from. I think these are FANTASTIC and I will be buying them!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
