L.A. Colors Coral Swatch from haul

Here is a swatch of the coral color from the L.A. Colors pack I bought. I posted about it here. I sure wish these had names! I think this color is gorgeous. It's a coral with little gold flecks in it that really catch your eye in the light.

Color Club Blue-Ming Swatch

I got Blue-Ming in the July 2012 Birchbox

I'm a little surprised that it's called BLUE-Ming since it feels like it's more in the green family! Either way, I like the color but I think it would be better for Spring rather than Summer.

L.A.Colors Color Craze "Haul" and Mani

I stumbled upon this awesome little box at the grocery store last night. It was 10 mini polishes for $10! I thought it was a great bargain. L.A. Colors isn't the best quality in town, but I couldn't pass up on the variety!

The first mani I did is with the dark blue and the yellow. None of the colors have names on them. :(

I needed four coats to get the colors as seen. The yellow was really hard to get to actually look like yellow over the blue, but I think it ended up looking ok.

Circus by Andrea's Choice Somersault Mani

I received Somersault in the July 2012 MyGlam Bag. Check out the entire post here. It is not a color I would normally have selected for myself and in fact, is only the second yellow I have in my house. The first is from an L.A. Colors haul that I have yet to post about. :)

I didn't really like the yellow alone on my skin tone, so I did a half and half with Orly Royal Navy. I liked the effect until people wouldn't stop asking me if I was a University of Michigan fan! LOL! I didn't even know that yellow and blue were their colors! :)

Little Black Bag July 2012

Thanks to Chelsea at the girlyenthusiast.com, I am super addicted to Little Black Bag (LBB). I just got my July 2012 box in the mail! This month I got a Robert Rose ring, a Peacock Jewelry Tree, a Betsey Johnson Bracelet, and a Kenneth Cole watch.

This is quite the haul for only $50!!! If you are interested in joining, you can sign up here.

And on to the pics!

Here's the jewelry tree with some of the items in the dish. Then, it has metal "tail feathers" that you can hang necklaces and bracelets on.

Here is the Robert Rose ring. It is much bigger than I thought it was going to be. I'm not sure I can pull it off, but I think as long as I wear it with confidence, maybe it will look ok! haha

And my favorite piece of all, a Betsey Johnson three chain bracelet. OMG. This baby is so freaking cute and I am officially obsessed with Betsey Johnson. I think I'll probably open my bag with a Betsey piece from now on!

Kenneth Cole Reaction watch. This is Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy bigger than I thought it was going to be. Except for the purple and the rhinestones, it could be a man's watch. It's huge! See the picture below with it on my wrist.

So the lesson here today is that at least 50% of the items on LBB are going to be a lot bigger than expected!! Haha. I think I should be a little better at analyzing the descriptions of pieces before I trade for them or put them in my bag!
This isn't my favorite bag I've received but I love the Betsey bracelet and the peacock tree.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Birchbox July 2012

I am very happy with my Birchbox this month. I feel like I got a great value for my money. The theme was that you'd get something for all 5 senses and I totally think they pulled it off.

Uber sample bar in Cherry Cobbler

Eyeko liquid eyeliner in Olive. When I went to remove the swatch from the back of my hand, I couldn't rub it off! Awesome! I had to spit on it. (Gross, I know) to get it to come off. I think that's a good sign!

Perfume sample. Meh.

UV+ Fadeprood Fluid. I am having serious deja vu. Have we received this exact same from Birchbox before? Or at least from some other company? I swear I already have this.

Color Club Polish in Blue-Ming. In case you haven't noticed I am completely addicted to nail polish. So....YAAAY!!

Headphones. I think this is very cool!

Thanks, Birchbox! If you're interested in signing up for BB, click here.

My Glam July 2012

I have already received the July 2012 MyGlam bag! This is the third month in a row where I'm totally thrilled with the entire bag. They are really blowing the other sample services out of the water! If you haven't gotten on their waiting list yet, I highly recommend it. I look forward the most to MyGlam every month!

Here's what we got for the month of July. The theme was going to the beach.

Full size Circus by Andrea's Choice nail color. I don't own a single yellow polish. While it isn't my first choice of colors (and thus, why I don't own any yellow and I own 100 reds) I am very happy with the polish. I think I could use some yellow in my collection and this one is really nice sunshine yellow. It's perfect for the summer!

Yes to Cucumber facial towelettes. I have never heard of this brand before, but it would appear they have won an award from Allure magazine. I am excited to try them!

Nu-Me Hydro Punch conditioner. It was perfect for me to get this today because I am almost out of conditioner! For some reason, I go through conditioner way faster than I go through shampoo. :)

Juice Beauty green apple moisturizer. This tube made the whole Glam bag smell amazing! Usually, when you open the bag, it has a funky plastic smell. This month, I opened that shiny pink envelope and it smelled great! This moisturizer was the culprit! The smell was so strong I thought that something had spilled...but it hadn't! Phew!

Josie Maran lip and cheek stain in Jitterbug. This was one of the items that could have been a Buxom lip gloss or this Maran stain. I'm very glad I got the stain because I already own 100 Buxom glosses!!! This color is quite pretty, too. I seem to have such great luck with the colors I get in my Glam bags!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!!

Wet 'N Wild Gray's Anatomy Swatch

I picked this little beauty up at the grocery store yesterday. I have never tried Wet n Wild before so I didn't know what to expect. I liked the brush a lot. The polish needed four coats to get to an opaqueness that I was happy with. The color is awesome. It changes colors in different lights. It goes from chrome, to green, to purple. It's so fun to look at!
Here are the pics: And yes, it's all of the same exact polish! :)

Funky French Mani

Today I decided to do a funky french mani using the scotch tape method. I chose China Glaze Dress Me Up from the Hunger Games collection and Zoya Yummy. I kind of like the effect! What do you think?

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Polish Review

I received this Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Polish in Polar Purple free of charge for testing and reviewing purposes from Influenster.com.

First, this color is fantastic. It's a deep purple that shimmers in the sunlight. The design of the bottle is also great. The magnet is in a separate cap so you can put it over the regular cap and then you don't lose the magnet! Fabulous! The brush is also wonderful. The bristles are nice and thick and a little stiff. This means that application is super easy because you don't have soft wimpy bristles flying all over the place.

I think the effect of the magnet is gorgeous! I will absolutely be buying this polish in other colors!!! I'm thrilled with this product!

Julep Juliette Swatch

I received this polish in the June mystery box. You can see that whole post here.
This is a milky white polish that goes on very sheer. I think it would be a great polish to wear alone when you're going for a super natural look or maybe if you're not even supposed to wear polish. It makes the nails look healthy and shiny without adding any pink in. It took two generous coats to get the coverage you see in the pictures. If I had longer nails, I know you'd be able to see a visible nail line even with two thick coats...and that is why I think it's so natural looking!

Influenster Summer 2012 Beauty Vox Box

I was lucky enough to be selected again for an Influenster Vox Box! Vox Boxes are sent out free of charge for testing and reviewing purposes! It's a GREAT program. You can check it out at Influenster.com.

Here is what was contained in the Summer 2012 Vox Box:

First up, Quaker Oats Banana Nut Bread baked bar. This looks scrumptious!

Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. Ever since I saw the Heidi Klum commercial a few weeks ago, I have really been wanting to try this brand...and now I can!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Sunscreen. First impression: Smells great!

Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Shea Butter Cream. I used this after removing my nail polish tonight and it feels and smells great! There is no better cuticle cream than Julep, but this is a fantastic hand lotion!

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Polish. Being a polish-addict, this is the product I'm most excited to try. I'm glad I got this color-it's gorgeous! The name is Polar Purple.

Always and Tampax Femine Hygiene Products. These come in a super cute bag! There are three unscented daily liners from Always and two unscented tampons from Tampax. I won't be able to try and review these for a few weeks, though... :)

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for a thorough review on each of these products!
