Sally Hansen the Real Teal and Andrea's Choice Circus Somersault French

Here's a fun and colorful french mani! I used Random.com to come up with the polishes. :)

I used Sally Hansen the Real Teal and Andrea's Choice Circus Somersault. Oh, and a little scotch tape. :)

Sally Hansen the Real Teal and Silver Crackle

Here is a swatch of Sally Hansen the Real Teal. I really liked the silver tips I did earlier in the week so I decided to do it again with a Sally Hansen Silver Crackle. This time, I used Orly Dazzle to do the french tips.

Random.Org Mani!

I really liked my "random" manicure from earlier this week, so I decided to let fate pick my colors again. For fun, I've included a picture of my polish shelf. Keep in mind that I rearrange it all the time so today's number s;lot might not have  the same polish tomorrow!

Random.org picked number 91: Sally Hansen Pink Boa and number and number 58: Julep Fina. Neither of these are good for stamping, so I thought a scotch tape mani was in order. I think I could have planned the angles better, but overall, I like the effect.

Silver Tipped French Mani

Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted! Life has gotten a little hectic lately. My dog blew out his ACL and got surgery to repair his knee. :( I've been so caught up in that work that I've completely neglected my nails. Plus, to save money, I skipped my Julep Maven boes for August 2012. I wasn't too disappointed to do that because all the colors were metallics and Julep metallic polishes don't really do it for me.

Anyway, I'm still working through trying out all the colors in the LA Colors multi pack I bought. You can see pics of the whole pack here.

All the colors are unnamed. This one is a dark-ish purply pink. Then I too the silver color and made french tips.

L.A.Colors Color Craze "Haul" and Mani

I stumbled upon this awesome little box at the grocery store last night. It was 10 mini polishes for $10! I thought it was a great bargain. L.A. Colors isn't the best quality in town, but I couldn't pass up on the variety!

The first mani I did is with the dark blue and the yellow. None of the colors have names on them. :(

I needed four coats to get the colors as seen. The yellow was really hard to get to actually look like yellow over the blue, but I think it ended up looking ok.

Circus by Andrea's Choice Somersault Mani

I received Somersault in the July 2012 MyGlam Bag. Check out the entire post here. It is not a color I would normally have selected for myself and in fact, is only the second yellow I have in my house. The first is from an L.A. Colors haul that I have yet to post about. :)

I didn't really like the yellow alone on my skin tone, so I did a half and half with Orly Royal Navy. I liked the effect until people wouldn't stop asking me if I was a University of Michigan fan! LOL! I didn't even know that yellow and blue were their colors! :)

Funky French Mani

Today I decided to do a funky french mani using the scotch tape method. I chose China Glaze Dress Me Up from the Hunger Games collection and Zoya Yummy. I kind of like the effect! What do you think?

Man Glaze Santorum French Mani

Yep! You know it! More ManGlaze!!! This french mani features only Santorum. (If you're faint of heart...do NOT Google that!!!!)

As you know, ManGlaze dries matte naturally. So, I put a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward on it to make it shiny and boy it is pretty! Then, to make the matte tips, I used Essie Matte About You. This is how Santorum would have looked had I not used a top coat. Isn't the difference amazing??? All of their polishes are like this! You can have a ton of diversity in one bottle!

Nail Spam!

First, a swatch of Julep Maya, which I received in my St. Patrick's Day Mystery Box!

Then, I got bored and wanted to check out China Glaze Hunger Games Collection Harvest Moon.

Then, I got bored with that! So, I took it off and put on Zoya Kiki which I'm freaking IN LOVE with!

I couldn't bear to think about taking of this precious pink baby, so I dazzled it up with some Orly Royal Navy Tips.

And I did this all in one day! I was pretty bored! Hahahaha.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

China Glaze Hunger Games Mani

Here's another mani using polish from the China Glaze Hunger Games Collection. I'm going to see the movie next weekend, so I wanted to experiment with a fun mani to see if I like it enough to wear it to the movie. :)

First, I painted the whole nail with Smoke and Ashes, which represents District 12. It's a pretty black with green micro shimmer.

Then, I taped off my nails and painted on Electrify.

Finally, I taped off again and pained on Stone Cold.

In  my head, it was supposed to look like coals, fire, and smoke. I'm not sure I succeeded exactly, but I still like the mani.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

St. Patrick's Day Mani, Of Course!

I bet every polish girl out there has green on today!

I wanted to start with Julep Sofia, which I received in my mystery box. This is the first Julep polish I've ever been disappointed with. It's application was weird, it was very translucent, it dried almost matte, and it's butt ugly! Even with three coats, it wouldn't match what it looked like in the bottle. Perhaps I'll attempt layering it someday to see if that makes it usable.

So, in an effort to de-ugly the mani, I put a triangle of Zoya Shawn at the top. I think it helped a little.

Finally, to make sure it was totally St. Patty's day, I did a little Konad stamping. This design was surprisingly hard to make look good. Usually the bigger designs are easier, but this one was a pain. I had to clean the plate in between each stamp to even get this mess!

Overall, I think this mani is a fail!!! Oh well! Those are bound to happen. :)

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!
