Konad Lacy French Tips

For this fun, lacy, french manicure I used Julep Jennifer and Konad Special White. This pattern is on Bundle Monster plate 18.

I'll be going out of town starting tomorrow so there won't be any posts for a few days. I'm going to visit my family in another state. Yay! Super excited!!
Have a great weekend. :)

Julep Gloria and Julep Vanessa

I received Julep Gloria and Vanessa in one of the most recent Julep Mystery boxes. Gloria is a dark, orange-coral and Vanessa is very pretty shimmer and glitter. I put Vanessa on top of Gloria.

Julep August 2012 Mystery Boxes

I got two mystery boxes this go around. This time, they were grouped by style profile. In hindsight, I should have gotten boxes that were not my style profile in order to reduce the chance of duplicates.

Here is American Beauty:

From left to right: Peony lip gloss, Demi (dupe for me), Gloria, and Vanessa.

Here is the Bombshell box:

From left to right: Hand scrub and hand brightener, Pippa (dupe for me), Natalie, and Amy.

So really, only two dupes out of 6 colors so it's not too bad. I wish I would have picked Classic With a Twist and It Girl because I don't think I would have gotten any dupes! Oh well... I'll just head over to the trade forums and see if anyone wants them. :)

Random.Org Mani!

I really liked my "random" manicure from earlier this week, so I decided to let fate pick my colors again. For fun, I've included a picture of my polish shelf. Keep in mind that I rearrange it all the time so today's number s;lot might not have  the same polish tomorrow!

Random.org picked number 91: Sally Hansen Pink Boa and number and number 58: Julep Fina. Neither of these are good for stamping, so I thought a scotch tape mani was in order. I think I could have planned the angles better, but overall, I like the effect.

Random Mani!

I was feeling uninspired by my polish so I thought I would use random.org to randomly generate a decision for me. I told it to pick a number between 1 and 106 (which is my total number of polishes) and it came up with the numbers corresponding to Julep Mischa and Circus by Andrea's Choice Somersault. I was curious to see how the Somersault would stamp, so I used Mischa as by main color and selected some flowers to stamp. I think the result is quite nice and reminds me of Hawaii! Thank you, random.org! Perhaps I should do all my mani's this way...

Julep Juliette Swatch

I received this polish in the June mystery box. You can see that whole post here.
This is a milky white polish that goes on very sheer. I think it would be a great polish to wear alone when you're going for a super natural look or maybe if you're not even supposed to wear polish. It makes the nails look healthy and shiny without adding any pink in. It took two generous coats to get the coverage you see in the pictures. If I had longer nails, I know you'd be able to see a visible nail line even with two thick coats...and that is why I think it's so natural looking!

Julep O Canada Swatch

This beautiful baby is one that I ordered as an add-on to my July 2012 Maven Box. It's a beautiful glitter polish that sits in a clear base. I wish I would have put it over a light pink or something, but I guess I can do that next time! :) It has at least two different sizes of glitters. This big ones are red while the small ones are white so they catch all different sorts of light. Very pretty!

Here it is with only one coat. You can see that it is very sparse---not nearly the coverage you're getting with the new America gliter.

I ended up putting three generous coats on. Now you can see why I wish I would have layered it over another color. I still think it's pretty but I don't like seeing my bare nail underneath. :)

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Julep Georgia Swatch

I got this color because of a mix up on the Julep website. (You can read about that in my post from yesterday.) I wasn't even ordering this color but I sure am glad that I got it! It's a very pretty light coral/peach with micro shimmer. I loved it all day long!

Julep Mischa Swatch and why I LOVE Julep

First, why I love Julep: Apparently, their pictures on their website were mixed up for Mischa and Georgia. I ordered Georgia as an add-on to my July Maven box and they sent me both! Wow! This is excellent, proactive customer service. They sent both because Mischa was the color pictured under the name Georgia. Since they weren't sure which color customers really wanted and they wanted to avoid any confusion or complaints, they sent everyone both. I think that is amazing of them!

Here are pics of my add-on order:  O Canada, Georgia, and Mischa (which is what I thought Georgia was)

Without further delay, here are some pics of Mischa. It is A LOT more orange than I thought it would be. In fact, if I knew it was going to be this orange, I never would have ordered it. I can appreciate the beauty of the color, but orange is not a color I wear. Ever.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Julep Freida Swatch

I there! Hope you're doing well today. Here is a swatch of Julep Freida, which is a bright pink with micro-shimmers in it. It's very beautiful, but I needed three coats before I got the coverage I was really looking for.

Julep America Swatch

Wow! This polish is killer beautiful. I started with a navy blue base, but it turns out that was a waste of time. This glitter is so opaque that two coats will cover your entire nail. It's in a red gel base so you get some extra coverage there. This is very pretty!!!
